Attacks on healthcare

At Care for Palestine, we are dedicated to advocating for medical justice in Palestine through Law Assisted Divestment. If we want to have an effective strategy, we need to make the right diagnosis. Healthcare casualties as result of collateral damage will not require the same strategy as over a year of deliberate attacks  resulting in the annihilation of healthcare to support a genocidal intent.

Below, we present documented evidence of ongoing attacks on healthcare in Palestine. This includes key statistics, playlists, official reports, and firsthand testimonies, highlighting the deliberate and systemic nature of these assaults on healthcare and public health.

Health Crisis in Gaza:

Key Numbers

Israel: #1 in Healthcare Worker Deaths!

According to the numbers of UN and WHO, more healthcare workers have been killed during military operations against Gaza, West Bank and Lebanon, than all global conflicts combined over the past six years. This averages seven healthcare workers killed or severely injured each day—seven war crimes daily for over 460 days...

As of now, the Israeli army is worldwide, by far, the leading cause of violent deaths among healthcare workers.

The allegations about the use of hospitals as military centres remains after 15 months unsubstantiated, vague and broad, and in some cases contradicted by publicly available information or videos.

These statistics paint a stark picture of the health situation in Gaza, underscoring the necessity for immediate action and support.
